Aphrodesias

Another cool ancient city gone bye bye. Didn't see no Aphrodite in no see thru nightie.  Apparently the Turkish variations of Aphrodite are more modest than one might find in Greece.  Was cool (for us, not the laborers) to see an active archaeological excavation occurring.  The wheel barrows and dirty workers and stinging sun made it clear to me (finally!) that the world of Indiana Jones is a bit less glamorous than I've been led to believe.
